
Howard is a private investor and retired partner from Goldman Sachs. He retired in 2012 as the head of Hedge Fund Industry Group (HFIG), responsible for strategic and advisory services for alternative asset managers. Howard joined Goldman Sachs in 1994, named managing director in 2000 and partner in 2002. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Howard practiced law for three years at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Howard served on numerous boards and advisory positions in civic, charitable and for-profit arena.
Since retiring from Goldman Sachs, Howard has been running his family office investing in a broad range of asset classes including building a multi manager investment portfolio; a multifamily housing portfolio; developing an alternative lending platform, and significant global investments and advisory work in sports related ventures. Most significantly, the investment model is predicated and continues to rely on deep industry relationships and leveraging their analysts, opportunities, or balance sheets to enhance investment returns.
